About Us

Our History

Started in 1989, after being boarded from the SAR as a Diesel Driver. My wife , Coleen needed her Drivers License - she decided to go to a Driving School after we had numerous arguments while I tried to teach her. She then asked me "Why don't you start your own driving school?" Which is what I did, and have been doing for the past 20 years. Member of SAIDI (Southern African Institute of Driving Instructors) established in 1977, under the auspices of the National Road Safety Council (NSCR), in order to place driver training on a co-ordinated basis, and to professionalise and standardise the driver training industry.

Our Values

We strive to provide the highest quality in driving education
We prepare learners to become responsible, skilled and low-risk drivers

The Technique: (Defensive Driving K53)

The technique is a mental one and involves 4 steps

1. SEARCH

2. IDENTIFY

3. PREDICT

4. DECIDE

You must look out for hazards, in front, at the sides and behind you. Check every 12 seconds to ensure that you are not in a hazardous situation. Remain aware of what is going on around you so that you are ready to react at any dangerous situation that might occur. Once you have identified a hazard you must be able to classify how it will affect your speed or direction of travel Next step is to determine the risk to you and the implications of your actions to other road users. Considering your prediction, you must decide on a course of action to cope with the hazard. This could be a simple warning hoot or a collision-avoiding swerve.

Who are we?

We are a family owned and operated driving school. Namely myself - Trevor, my son Shaun and my wife Coleen, whom takes the bookings telephonically and does Learners License tuition from home.
